Sharks Home Game May 14

JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Jacksonville Sharks face the Columbus Lions on Saturday, May 14. Let’s put a spell on those Lions and send them back to their bus with a loss. Saturday’s game will be played in the Vystar Memorial Arena with kickoff set for 7 pm, and doors open to the public at 6 pm. It’s Wizarding World Night and we have some magic planned for you, here’s everything you need to know for Saturday’s game. 

FREE WANDS!!!!!

The Sharks will be providing FREE wands and washable lightning bolt kids tattoos to the first 1,000 kids in the arena for Saturday’s game. 

Wizarding World Night 

In honor of the 20th anniversary of the novel-based film saga, the Sharks will be hosting their first-ever Wizarding World Night. Feel free to dress up in your favorite witch or wizard costumes or represent your favorite Hogwarts house. Be forewarned we expect many muggles in attendance. Don’t know your Hogwarts House? NO PROBLEM, the Sorting Hat as it will be making appearances inside the arena as well during the game. Test your Harry Potter trivia knowledge as we will have all four houses compete for the House Cup! Expect to see some magical movie clips and don’t be surprised if you see a Harry or Ron in the crowd. Note: All first-year students please leave your brooms and owls at home for this game. 

HOUSE TOURNAMENT 

We have launched a House tournament on jaxsharks.com click on our house tournament button to compete and earn your favorite Hogwarts house points for your trivia knowledge. During halftime Saturday the house with the most points will be announced as our house champion.

COSTUME CONTEST

Dress up as your favorite Wizarding World character for a chance to be one of three lucky fans that will be featured on-field for our costume contest. You do not have to catch a golden snitch to win this game, just dress the part and impress our audience.

Donatos Pick Your Pizza Game!

One lucky fan will have to pick from three pizza boxes on the field during our game. One pizza box will have a grand prize, if the fan picks correctly they will receive the prize courtesy of Donatos Pizza. 

Tonight's National Anthem Performance provided by Duval County Supervisors of Elections

Each national anthem performance this season will be provided by the Duval County Supervisors of Elections who want you to  remember that July 25 is the last day to register to vote for the August 23 primary. Visit www.duvalelections.com to register.

Welcome to the Shark Tank! Our friends at Moe’s Southwest Grill want to see if YOU CAN CATCH! We will be launching t-shirts into the crowd throughout the game for the Moe’s T-Shirt Toss, giving you the chance to catch a Sharks t-shirt provided by Moe’s Southwest Grill. 

Metro Diner Lucky Row

On Saturday, the doors open at 6:00 p.m. The game will kick off at 7 p.m.

Mascot & Attack Dance Team Meet & Greet

At the beginning of the game, come on down to meet and take photos with Chum and Finn during their autograph session located on the concourse at the section 100 entrance and the Attack dance team begining of the 2nd quarter. 

NO Sharks Horns

Unfortunately, Sharks horns will not be allowed back in this game. Please do not bring your Shark horns to the arena for Saturday’s game.

Suite/Duval Street Entrance

This entrance will be open for all Sharks season tickets holders starting at 6:00 p.m. 

Halftime

Class is in session, learn how to levitate with Professor Wale. Enjoy a performance by our Attack Dance Team followed by Showtime USA who have brewed up a special act for this Saturday.

Fling-A-Football

How’s your aim? Our halftime Fling-A-Football promotion gives you a chance to win $150 in Shark Bucks. At just $1 per throw (or 6 for $5), you might as well give it a shot! Be sure to have your mini-footballs ready when halftime rolls around! Fling-A-Footballs are available for purchase inside the arena on the main concourse until the middle of the second quarter.

Junior Attack Dance Camp

Parents! 2022 Attack Dance Camp will begin June 10th for Jr. Attack Dance Camp practice and the Jr. Attack Dance Camp will continue on June 11th at the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena. On June 11th these young ladies will perform on the field during the Sharks game as well as at halftime for the Jr. Attack Halftime Performance. Sign your little girl up today!
