What You Need to Know - Military Appreciation Night

JACKSONVILLE – The 2019 Defending NAL Champion Jacksonville Sharks face the Carolina Cobras tomorrow at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena at 7 p.m. This final home game may be the most significant game in the Sharks regular season as the battle for the playoffs has begun and both teams' playoff hopes are on the line. The Cobras led by head coach Josh Resignalo who was the 2019 Defensive Coordinator for the Cobras who faced the Sharks in the NAL Championship that season will be looking for revenge in Jacksonville as the Sharks defeated the Cobras in the playoffs and took a last minute two-point lead this year to beat them in Greensboro. This season both the Sharks and Cobras have struggled but with a win the Sharks will hold their spot at #4 in the NAL and will eliminate Carolina from the 2021 NAL post-season. 

Whether you’re a longtime season ticket holder, or about to head to your first Shark’s game, here’s everything you need to know for this Saturday. The VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena will host Sharks’ Military & Fan Appreciation Night presented by Navy Federal Credit Union. This will be the last home game for the 2021 season and you don’t want to miss it! Military Appreciation Night (presented by Navy Federal Credit Union)

We saved this great theme night for the regular season home finale to salute all the brave men & women that have served & continue to serve in our nation's armed forces. The Sharks Military Appreciation Night is presented by Navy Federal Credit Union. Stand with us as we honor hometown heros from all branches of service on this great night.

Fan Appreciation Night

For this home game and only this home game this season ALL Shark Fans will receive up to 50% off select Sharks merchandise at the Sharks merchandise stand on the main concourse. SWISHER Military Themed Jersey Auctions
We will have custom made Military themed game worn Jerseys provided by our great corporate partners at SWISHER. There is an online auction happening right now, to participate in the online auction download the Live Source app and search Jacksonville, FL or Jacksonville Sharks. The online auction will conclude at 9pm on Saturday. There will also be a live auction for the Sharks game worn jerseys happening on the field during the post game autograph session. Fans can participate in both the live and the online auction for chances to purchase their favorite player's military night jersey.  

Cash Free Arena
This season the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena will be cash free from box office to concessions. Please bring a credit or debit card to make purchases.  Cash cards will also be available at the customer service desk at the top of the main entrance escalator.

Mobile Game Program
This season the Sharks game day program will be completely mobile to see tomorrow’s night game program scan one of the several Sharks Bites Game Program QR codes placed throughout the arena. The home opener program will be available to view on your mobile device before kickoff. You can also check out our game program online at jaxsharks.com by clicking the fan zone tab. 

NAL Fantasy Football
Play fantasy football tomorrow night, that’s right fantasy ARENA football. Download the Fantaszir app or visit the National Arena League website and click on the fantasy football tab. Pick players from all four teams compete in Saturday NAL games. The league will post the Top 4 NAL Fantasy Leaders on Monday! Sharks Safety Tips
Please help the Jacksonville Sharks, the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena staff, and the city of Jacksonville by encouraging wearing a mask while inside the arena and anytime you are around large crowds. Our recommendation is that we strongly encourage wearing a mask for the safety of all fans but we are in no way enforcing the use of masks if you decide not to wear them for Saturday's game. We would like all fans to feel safe & comfortable so please make the best decision for yourself & your guests so we can continue to bring family, affordable fun to the Shark tank. 

Halftime Show
The Sharks have teamed up with Army National Guard of Florida who will be performing their honorable oath of enlistment ceremony with the young men & women that have made the bold decision to serve their country through the Army National Guard. As a courtesy to the Army National Guard and their newest recruits please lower your voice during this honorable ceremony. The National Arena League’s 3x Best Dance Team, your Jacksonville Sharks Attack Dance Team will perform at halftime as well as a tribute to all Military Veterans and active duty service men & women. 

Topgolf Putt for Platinum
Our Friends at Topgolf will be taking the field to allow three local military heros tomorrow the chance to win a TopGolf Platinum Hero Elite Membership valued at $1,000. This putting contest will occur on the field with the winner to receive the grand prize. The remaining contests will be awarded a Two-Bay Platinum Experience valued at $200 as a thank you from Topgolf to our military service men & women as well as their families. 

Where to Watch
You can catch this week's game and all of our other games on the CW17 or WCWJ. Games will also be available via livestream on the National Arena League’s YouTube channel. Check out our watch party at the participating DICK’S WINGS restaurants this season during Sharks away games. Locations to Shark watch parties will be posted on Sharks social media and website. The next Sharks away game is next week Saturday, July 31 as the Sharks face the Albany Empire in Albany, NY. The watch party for that game will be at Dicks Wings Mandarin, there will be a Sharks raffle for fans occurring throughout the game, winners will receive Jacksonville Sharks prizes, you must attend for the opportunity to win those prizes. The watch party begins at 6:30pm and lasts until the end of the game, root on your Jacksonville Sharks with Dicks Wings & Grill, the official Watch Party Partner of the Jacksonville Sharks. 

SharkFest
SharkFest is happening this Saturday and all game days to come. Starting at 5 p.m., it's fun for all ages, kids and adults prior to the game as we get pumped for kickoff. For Education Appreciation & Country Night, presented by Idea Public Schools, we will have live music and local vendors available and handing out free swag. Come join us for a fun time at SharkFest! There will also be a pregame autograph season inside the main arena entrance with our new 2021 Attack Dance Team!

Hometown Heros
This year, USAA is recognizing hometown heroes during every quarter of Military Appreciation Night tomorrow night against the Carolina Cobras. Be sure to watch as we continue our tradition of honoring our heroes in Jacksonville with our sponsor USAA, the official sponsor of the Jacksonville Sharks Hometown Heroes. 

Girl Scout Night

Doors Open
On Saturday, the Veteran’s Memorial doors open at 5:30 p.m. for season ticket holders, and 6 p.m. for the general public— Sharkfest will still kick off at 5 p.m.

Season ticket holder Entrances
The entrances for Sharks season ticket holders will be open starting at 5:30 p.m., one at the Suite entrance off Duval street and the other at the main entrance off of A Phillip Randolph.  After that, remaining ticket holders may enter through the same entrance.

Post-Game
There will be a 35-minute post game autograph session with Sharks players, coaches, and the Attack Dance Team. This event is open to all fans, we ask while you are waiting to meet a player please practice safe social distancing from fans around you. As well as avoid direct physical contact with Sharks players & coaches. During this autograph session the Jacksonville Sharks will auction off Military-Themed game worn jerseys at the end of the game during the on-field autograph session presented by Navy Federal Credit Union. The auction will be online as well as in person. 

Attack Dance Team Calendar 2021-2022
The Attack Dance Team is proud to announce their 2021-2022 calendars are on sale now for $15 as they just hosted a calendar release party last wednesday with our friends at Intuition Ale Works in downtown Jacksonville. 

Fling-A-Football
During the halftime show, our Fling-A-Football promotion gives you a chance to win a game-worn jersey from years past, or 150 in Shark Bucks. At just $1 per throw, or six throws for $5, you might as well give it a shot! Be sure to have your mini-footballs ready when halftime rolls around. Fling-A-Footballs are available for purchase inside the arena on the main concourse until the middle of the second quarter.
