What You Need To Know - Halloween in June

JACKSONVILLE— The Jacksonville Sharks (0-2) face off against the Albany Empire (4-0) Saturday at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena at 7 p.m. This will be the Empires fifth game of the season after a week 4 win against the Predators in Orlando, 68-40, while the Sharks return home after their second game of the season, losing to the Columbus Lions 32-56.  Saturday night's theme is Halloween in June, presented by Clay Eye Physicians & Surgeons. Halloween in June

It’s gonna be a spooky Saturday night in the Shark Tank as the Sharks look to become the Albany Empire’s WORST NIGHTMARE and wreck their four-game win streak. Watch as Shark Nation haunts former Sharks quarterback Tommy Grady for four frightful quarters. Dress up in your funniest or scariest costumes to help send them back to New York with a ghostly loss. Our friends at the 13th Floor Entertainment are always looking to scare, whether you see them or NOT. Don’t forget boys and ghouls, you can count on a haunted hit list of Halloween tunes to dance to all night long, thanks to DJ Dark Knight. 

Scare Free Zones 

13th Floor Entertainment Jacksonville will have professional performers and scare artists present in full costumes. They will be amongst you inside the arena for some family-friendly spooky entertainment. These performers will not touch you, unless you want to get your photo with them. Not into the frightful sights? The Sharks will establish multiple scare free zones throughout the arena.

SharkFest 

SharkFest is happening this Saturday and all Sharks home games this season. This free pregame event starts at 5 p.m. and is fun for all ages, kids and adults alike as we get pumped up for kickoff. For Halloween In June presented by Clay Eye Physicians, we will have live music and local vendors available handing out free swag. We have Coast 2 Coast Slingshots, a Rolling Video Game truck, and you can meet our mascots Chum & Finn, Chum’s inflatable sidekick! If you get the chance, meet the newest addition to the Sharks mascot family- Lil Chum. So come join us for a fun time at SharkFest! There will also be a pregame autograph season inside the main arena entrance with our new 2021 Attack Dance Team!

Doors Open

On Saturday, the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena doors open at 5:30 p.m. for season ticket holders, and 6 p.m. for the general public— Sharkfest will still kick off at 5 p.m.

Season Ticket Holder Parking 

New perk for our 2021 Season Ticket Holders your new Lot Z parking entrance is exclusive for season ticket holders.  Season ticket holders no longer have to use the main entrance to enter the games. Our staff created this for season ticket holders to reduce wait times, crowding, and to allow the season ticket holders more time to enjoy the Shark Tank!  

Season Ticket Holder Entrances 

The entrances for Sharks season ticket holders will be open starting at 5:30 p.m., with one entrance at the arena suite entrance off Duval street, and the other at the main entrance off of A Phillip Randolph.  After 6pm, remaining ticket holders may enter through the same entrances.

Mobile Game Program 

This season the Sharks game day program will be completely mobile. To see tomorrow’s night game program scan one of the several Sharks Bites Game Program QR codes placed throughout the arena. The program will be available to view on your mobile device before kickoff. You can also check out our game program online at jaxsharks.com by clicking the fan zone tab. Check any restroom entrance, escalator or elevator locations to see the mobile program QR codes, or ask any game day attendant or a representative at the Information Desk across from the main escalator. 

Youth Football Camp 

The 2021 Sharks Youth Football Camp will be tomorrow at the arena from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Registration for the camp is open until 5 p.m. today. Campers will receive a FREE Sharks t-shirt provided by our Youth Camp Sponsors IDEA Public Schools, Darley’s Plumbing, Baptist Health, Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute and Pizza Hut.  Campers will get to participate in various drills on the Sharks field with our coaches and players, and Pizza Hut will provide pizza for all campers at the conclusion of camp.

Sharks Bus Trip - Friday, July 2 

Join us for the Orlando Away Game at the Amway Center by riding with Sharks Nation. The Bus Trip Experience is $40 for season ticket holders and $50 for all other Sharks fans. You will receive a ticket to the game in the Sharks section, transportation to and from the game, and lunch provided by Firehouse subs. Cash Free Arena 

This season, the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena will be cash free from box office to concessions. Please bring a credit or debit card to make purchases. Cash cards will also be available at the customer service desk at the top of the main entrance escalator.

Sharks Safety Tips 

Please help the Jacksonville Sharks, the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena staff, and the city of Jacksonville by wearing a mask while inside the arena and anytime you are around large crowds. Our recommendation is that we encourage wearing a mask for the safety of all fans, but we are in no way enforcing the use of masks if you decide not to wear them for Saturday's game. We would like all fans to feel safe and comfortable, so please make the best decision for yourself and your guests so we can continue to bring family-affordable fun to the Shark tank. 

Where to Watch & Dicks Wings Watch Parties 

You can catch this week's game and all of our other games on the CW17 or WCWJ. Games will also be available via livestream on the National Arena League’s YouTube channel. Check out our watch parties at participating DICK’S WINGS restaurants this season during Sharks away games. Locations for Shark watch parties will be posted on Sharks social media and website during the weeks of the games.

USAA Hometown Heros

This year, USAA has teamed up with the Jacksonville Sharks in recognizing local hometown heroes. Take notice tomorrow night as we continue our tradition of honoring our heroes in Jacksonville for their military service. Special thanks to our Hometown Hero presenting sponsor USAA and our USAA Hometown Hero plaque provider AAA Trophy. 

Halftime

Chums Autobahn challenge kicks off at halftime tonight which will involve our mascot racing on electric go-karts provided by Jacksonville’s Autobahn Indoor Speedway. Root from Chum in this great halftime race against an Autobahn opponent. Halloween costume contest to the fans that show up in the best, creative costume to the game- prize for Shark Bucks! There will also be a special haunted halftime performance by our Attack Dance Team.

Post-Game

Don’t miss the post game autograph session with Sharks players, coaches, and the Attack Dance Team. This event is free and open to all fans. We ask while you are waiting to meet a player please practice safe social distancing from fans around you. As well as avoid direct physical contact with Sharks players & coaches and dance team members.

Fling-A-Football 

Check out our Fling-A-Football promotion during halftime; it gives you a chance to win an Official Sharks game-worn jersey from years past, or 150 in Shark Bucks. At just $1 per throw, or six throws for $5, you might as well give it your best shot! Be sure to have your mini-footballs ready when halftime rolls around. Fling-A-Footballs are available for purchase inside the arena on the main concourse until the middle of the second quarter.

Jr. Attack Dance Camp

The Junior Attack Dance Camp is now back in session and kicks off with a practice on Friday night,July 16th. To register visit www.jaxsharks.com/dancers/junior-attack-dance/ and sign up online. The Jr. Attack Dance Camp special performance will be at halftime during the game on Saturday.  All campers will receive a free t-shirt for the camp and will be given lunch for the July 17th game.

Sharknado $16 - served in a Mason Jar with swimming shark gummies. 

Reef & Cove Menu:
Mahi & chicken tacos with cilantro lime with coleslaw and spanish rice. Sides of fire roasted corn and black beans will also be included. For dessert we will have key lime pie! There will be free water and soda beverages available along with our field suite level bar for adult beverages that include free beer and wine available until the end of the second quarter.

Beer brats with sauerkraut & smoked sausage with pepper & onions, both served with kettle chips. There will be water and soda beverages available.
