WEEK THREE PREVIEW:


It’s a first time meeting in Fayetteville as the Sharks travel to North Carolina in what looks to be a high scoring affair.


Fayetteville is coming off their first ever win in the NAL after crushing Orlando 68-43. QB Rakeem Cato threw for 314 yards and seven touchdowns as Fayetteville dominated from the start. The Mustangs nearly swept the NAL Week One Awards with QB Rakeem Cato, Returner Kendrick Ings, and WR/DB Tre Long all receiving Player of the Week awards. 


The Sharks come into this weekend 1-1 after a narrow 62-63 overtime loss to San Antonio. Wide Receiver Khalil McClain had a massive five touchdowns in the game, including one on the first play of overtime. The offense was firing on all cylinders as QB Conor Blount went 25-32 and 278 yards. It wasn’t all passing however as the Sharks had four rushing touchdowns on the night.

Fayetteville Offense vs Sharks Defense


Just like last week, the Sharks face an offense that’s not afraid to put points on the board. Although only one game in, Fayetteville has shown that they had the firepower to compete with anyone in the league.This week, the Sharks defense looks to assert itself after giving up 63 points in last week's loss. Led by NAL veterans Marvin Ross and Jabari Gorman, the defense has five interceptions in two games.
