WEEK FOUR PREVIEW

by Clint Davenport

It’s rivalry week as the Sharks take on the hated Orlando Predators at the Tank. Jacksonville looks to make it 3 in a row over Orlando after sweeping them last season.

Last week could not have gone better offensively for the Sharks as they scored a touchdown every time they had the ball. WR Kamrin Solomon led the way with SIX touchdowns as the Sharks blasted Fayetteville 73-53. Kevin Didio-Weber, the newest Shark and resident kicker, earned Special Teams Player of the Week in his NAL debut with one deuce and two rouge points while making 9/10 extra points. On the other side of the ball, DL Sha-Ki Holiness was Defensive Player of the Week with three sacks and multiple QB hurries.

Orlando has yet to win a game this season. In Week 2, the Predators were blown out by Albany 33-70 as the offense struggled to get anything going against a strong Empire defense. Week 1 was much of the same as Orlando fell to Fayetteville 43-68 in a game that was close until the 4th quarter.

MATCHUP TO WATCH:

Sharks defense vs. Orlando offense

Orlando hopes to get their first win of the season and prove themselves. Their biggest inconsistency so far is the QB position. Although only two games in, the Predators have had two different starting quarterbacks. Regardless of who is behind center, the Sharks defense looks to continue their winning. Rookie Sha-Ki Holiness was named Defensive Player of the Week while DB Jabari Gorman leads the NAL with 25 total tackles.
