Week 10 Game Preview

JACKSONVILLE, FL – After back-to-back games in Texas, the Sharks (5-2) are back at the Tank for a game against the Fayetteville Mustangs (4-3) on Saturday, June 10. The two played in Fayetteville earlier this season when the Sharks defeated the Mustangs 73-53. 


During week three, the Sharks took control late in a back-and-forth game against the Mustangs. Kamrin Solomon scored five of the team’s ten touchdowns and totaled 106 receiving yards. Conor Blount threw 297 yards for the Sharks, helping his team cruise to a 2-1 record. 


For Fayetteville, Kendrick Ings scored three touchdowns, all on passes from Rakeem Cato. 


Last week, Jacksonville took down the West Texas Warbirds for the second time this season with a score of 58-45. Sha-ki Holiness scored his first touchdown for the Sharks on a two-yard pass from Sam Castronova. Holiness also recorded four sacks, bringing his league lead to 10 for the season. 


The Mustangs were at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex last weekend for a match-up against Carolina. The 3-3 Mustangs took down the 4-1 Cobras 55-37, launching the Sharks into second place in the standings. Rakeem Cato threw for 271 yards and seven touchdown passes. Devonte Baker and Dominique Bridges both had interceptions for the Mustangs.
