Two-Time All-NAL Receiver Devin Wilson Re-Signs with Sharks

JACKSONVILLE'S STAR RECEIVER RETURNS TO THE SHARK TANK

JACKSONVILLE – The 2019 National Arena League Champion Jacksonville Sharks have announced today the signing of First Team All-NAL Wide Receiver Devin Wilson. Wilson re-signs with the Jacksonville Sharks for his sixth year of arena football and third year with the Sharks.

Wilson (6’3, 210) is returning from a career season in 2019 with Jacksonville. The Sharks star receiver recorded 112 receptions for 1,340 yards and 32 touchdowns. Wilson was named First-Team All-NAL after helping the Sharks to another NAL Championship, leading the team in receptions, yards, touchdowns, and average yards per game. During the 2019 NAL Championship game, Wilson hauled in seven receptions for 89 yards and one touchdown helping the Sharks stun the defending champion Carolina Cobras and allowing Jacksonville to earn it’s second National Arena League Championship title.

In 2018, Wilson played for the Maine Mammoths under Head Coach James Fuller. Wilson earned First Team All-NAL honors. During that season in Maine Wilson totaled 79 receptions for 1,035 yards and 27 touchdowns, leading the team in both receiving yards and touchdowns. In 2017, Wilson was a member of the Sharks first National Arena League title team. In 2016, Wilson played for the Cleveland Gladiators of the AFL. Wilson began his arena football career with Head Coach James Fuller in 2015 with the Richmond Raiders, helping the team to a playoff semi-final victory over the Nashville Venom coached by Billy Back and a league championship appearance against Jason Gibson and the Columbus Lions. Devin also played in the Canadian Football League with the Saskatchewan Roughriders during the 2015 season.

Wilson attended Tennessee State University from 2009-2013. During his college career, he totaled 76 receptions for 935 yards and six touchdowns. Wilson is from Nashville, Tennessee and attended Pope John II High School in Hendersonville, Tennessee. He was a Two-Time All-Region Wide Receiver who also made All-Region in Track & Field.
