Sharks Win Nine 2021 NAL Honors

Jacksonville & Orlando Sweep Franchise Awards

JACKSONVILLE - The Two-Time NAL Champion Jacksonville Sharks have been recognized this week for several league awards for the 2021 season. The Sharks finished the year short of the playoffs but have had several players and staff recognized by the league for NAL honors. 

This season the Sharks had five All-NAL players including wide receiver Devin Wilson, offensive lineman Jabari Buckley, defensive lineman Jonathan Taylor, linebacker Zack Brown, and defensive back Kenny Veal. All of which were awarded second team 2021 All-NAL honors this week by the NAL. The Sharks also won several franchise awards this season including their fourth Best Fans & Best Game Ops award and their third Best Mascot & Best Media Relations award. 

The Jacksonville Sharks & Orlando Predators went toe to toe this year in franchise awards as the two most awarded teams within the National Arena League. Orlando took home four awards (Best Franchise, Executive, Dance Team, and Medical). While Jacksonville also gained four franchise awards (Best Fans, Game Operations, Mascot, and Media Relations). The rivalry between the two teams heated up this year on & off the field as the Predators had failed to beat the Sharks in the NAL until this season, to add more flames to the fire three of the four franchise awards that the Predators earned were previous awards that the Sharks won in the last NAL season (Franchise, Dance Team, Medical). Both the Jacksonville Sharks & Orlando Predators both enter the offseason with fan bases that have championship expectations the teams will use the offseason to gear towards making those expectations reality for 2022.
