Sharks Sign Quarterback Jordan Lane

Rookie QB Enters Sharks Training Camp

JACKSONVILLE – The 2019 National Arena League Champion Jacksonville Sharks have announced today the signing of rookie quarterback Jordan Lane who enters his first year of arena football with the Jacksonville Sharks for the 2021 season. Lane joins the Sharks after quarterback Conner Kaegi (6’7, 230) was placed on other league exempt due to signing with The Spring League (TSL) Kaegi, the local Bolles product, signed initially with the Sharks for the 2021 season. Lane will enter camp alongside Sharks veteran quarterback Mike Fafaul, former UCLA starter who helped the Sharks to their second NAL Championship victory in 2019. Fafaul enters his second season with the Sharks and third overall season in arena football as he spent his rookie season with the Albany Empire in 2018.  


Jordan Lane (6’3, 211) finished his career at Wingate University, a division II school in Wingate, NC where he helped the Bulldogs to a 10-2 overall record his senior year in 2019 and a NCAA playoff game against West Florida. In 2018, Wingate went 9-4 and defeated West Georgia in the first round of the NCAA playoffs to advance to the second round against Lenoir Rhyne where they finished the season in Hickory, NC. 


Prior to Wingate, Lane played for Johnson C. Smith, a division II school in Charlotte, NC. During his three year career with JCSU he played in 14 games where he totaled 101 passes for 1212 passing yards and eight touchdowns. Lane is a native of Charlotte, NC and played for Victory Christian high school.
