Sharks Re-Sign Local All-NAL Kicker Brandon Behr

NAL Special Teams Player of the Year Returns to Sharks


JACKSONVILLE – The 2019 Defending NAL Champion Jacksonville Sharks announce today that All-NAL Kicker Brandon Behr (5’11”, 190) re-signs with the Sharks for his third season in the NAL and third with the Sharks.


In 2019, Behr finished as the NAL Special Teams Player of the Year and finished as a First Team All-NAL kicker with most extra points made, 143 points total and a career-high 23 deuces. Behr signed with the Sharks in 2018. In his rookie season, he played in 10 games and was six for 13 in field goals and led the NAL in point after attempts in 2019 with 40 for 54 in point after attempts.


Behr, a Jacksonville native from Orange Park, attended Fleming Island High school and spent his college career at Jacksonville University (2012-2015). He played a total of 26 games at JU and set two school records, one record being 27 career goals— including a major 50-yard kick. Before graduating Behr transferred to the University of South Florida (2016) for graduate school and went 4 for 7 in field goals in his final season in college football. .
