Sharks Dominate Warbirds 70-25

JACKSONVILLE, FL – The West Texas Warbirds (2-10) visited the Shark Tank for the first time this season. The Sharks (9-2) have won seven straight games, and the War Birds have not won a game since Week 8 when they beat the Orlando Predators 41-34.

Jacksonville’s Jenson Stoshak scored all 14 points in the first quarter. He had 38 receiving yards on three receptions in the quarter, two leading to scores.

 The defense held the War Birds scoreless in the first 15 minutes and dominated the field. Sha-ki Holiness recorded his tenth sack of the season.

The Sharks led 14-0 after the first. 

Jacksonville’s strong offense continued in the second quarter. Darien Townsend scored in his first game back from injury. His first touchdown of the season was on a 31-yard pass from Sam Castronova. Faleaoga Russell scored his second touchdown in two games later in the quarter to add to Jacksonville’s lead. Brian Smith also scored in the quarter, a 40-yard reception as a quick response to West Texas’ first touchdown. Devin Wilson added to the score with a touchdown of his own in the final minute of the half. 

Jabari Gorman recorded his eighth interception of the season.

The Sharks led 41-7 at the half.

Kamrin Solomon scored the first touchdown of the second half. The league leader made an impressive one-handed catch in the end zone for his 29th score of the season. With a minute left in the quarter, Townsend scored his second of the game off of a lateral from Solomon at the ten-yard line. 

The defense kept the War Birds off the board for the second time tonight in the third quarter. Marvin Ross recorded a key interception that led to one Shark's touchdown.

The Sharks led 55-7 after three quarters.

The fourth quarter started with another Shark scoring his first touchdown of the season, Jimmie Goodloe. After coming in at quarterback to start the fourth, Eddie Brill Jr. scored the next touchdown on a one-yard rush. He finished the game with 20 passing yards, one passing touchdown, and one rushing touchdown.

The Sharks took down the West Texas Warbirds 70-25 at the Tank.

Castronova had 262 passing yards and eight touchdown passes.

Anthony Johnson had two sacks for the defense.
